Current research has shed light upon the fact that we learn most of what we need to understand about socializing at a very early age. This framework needs to be created in the early years, as our lives revolve around our social interaction with others. The use of the project approach allows children to work on developing this social development. When students have the opportunity to work collaboratively at an early age on activities in which there mind is engaged, students will be better able to cope with complex social issues in the future (Katz and Chard 2000).
