Second, the positive correlation between SSC and P content was verified among strawberry fruits of one cultivar harvested at different dates. Fruits of ‘Sachinoka’ were harvested from February to May. It showed that both SSC and P content in ‘Sachinoka’ fruits in creased gradually from early of February to late of May (Fig. 2).SSC rose from 8.5◦Brix in early of February to 14.2◦Brix in late of May, while P content rose from 8.9 mol g−1to 14.6 mol g−1(Fig. 2). For ‘Sachinoka’ fruits harvested at different dates, SSC was also significantly positively correlated with P content with the cor-relation coefficient r = 0.96 (p = 0.01).
