Knowledge management tools are used to create, organize and
share the knowledge that can be found, most of the time, in a document, a
project report, or a memo from one employee to another. There are a number
of software applications that are able to create a web of repositories, search
engines and virtual spaces where knowledge can be stored, retrieved and
shared. An ideal knowledge management tool must include such features like
mobility that allows users to interact with the system from any place at any
time. It is also important to maintain an updated compact disk (CD) that can
be used offline whenever a network connection is not available.
