According to the study of Soylu in the topic “ In vitro and in vivo antifungal activities of the essential oils of various plants against tomato grey mould disease agent Botrytis cinerea”
to determine The effects of different concentrations of volatile (A) and contact (B) phase of essential oil as for determination of effects of each phase three types of essential oil which is origanum lavender and rosemary and two tests were used for each phase.
With the Volatile procedure, essential oil will be evaporated for restraining b.cinerea. From the result of the experiment, efficiency of restraining with lavender oil will be increase when the concentration of lavender oil is increased, with 1.6 um/ml for the best efficiency.
Plus,
Contact procedure will allow the essential oil to touch the microbe directly for restraining the b.cinerea. The result shows that efficiency of restraining with lavender oil will be increased when the concentration of lavender oil is increased, with 25.6 um/ml for the best efficiency. However, the Volatile procedure give better yield than Contact proceder.
