To achieve an expected level of efectiveness, FBA, in every steps of project implementation is using Local Motivator approach. The Local Motivators (LM) are from the community they are working with so that they have good understanding about social-culture and dynamic of the community. These people are mostly from community figures, for example youth figures, informal leaders, teachers, village heads, priests, activists, orderly, enterpreneurs and even traditional farmers. The most important criterion is that they have strong passion in developing their community and relevant experiences.
In the microfiance program, main fuctions of a LM are as a respresentative of their community and a coach for community organizations that are established in their community. We recruited 2 Local motivators for each districts in which each local motivator will coach at least 6 community base credit unions. Local motivators also keep working as coaches and mentors, and under supervision of FBA they will be working with KSM in the working areas.. We started to gradually recruite local motivator’s base on need of field activities, on 15th July 2010 to 20th September 2010. The local motivators are as listed in the following table.
