Education in Iran is centralized and divided into K – 12 education in addition to higher education which is supervised by the Ministry of Education. Higher studies is taken care by the Ministry of Science and Technology as well as the Ministry of Health and Medical Education
As of September 2015, 93% of the Iranian adult population are literate. In 2008 85% of the adult population were literate. Iran’s population reached 70 million in 2006.More than two thirds of the Iranians are under age of 30 and the literacy rate stands above 82%.
This demonstrates that my country Iran has made an impressive improvement of ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all.
