This study found that although the knowledge of grammar and the students'writing skills increased during the eight weeks the study took place, the attitude about grammar changed very little. The results showed the note-taking method used did not make a significant difference in the attitude of the students. I also felt that this note taking method did not significantly improve the grammar skills of the students when compared to previous note-taking methods.The results are consistent with the literature, which shows that application does
strengthen students' writing, but I believe that the significant growth in writing skills was due more to all the extra writing time in class than to the direct applications from the notes.
