You ran through the streets of the city as alarms rang and people screamed as they ran next to you. You hadn't heard that alarm in years but the meaning had never left you. Those alarms could only mean one thing, spacequakes. As you ran you could see the fear in the eyes of each person. Ever since the first spacequake that killed over twenty million people the world has come to fear them and has made precautions against them.
One of those precautions was the shelter that you were running to now. They were made in each major city that a spacequake was expected to appear in. However, from what you've seen when an actual spacequake happens...well let's just say you weren't convinced that a shelter would do much good. Yet you ran towards it all the same. Though you would never actually make it there.
While you ran you were caught up in the crowd and was knocked out by the many people who pushed you down and ran over you. By the time you woke up the streets were empty and the alarm was gone. Groggily you got up and walked towards the shelter. What you found was a closed door that wouldn't open n matter how hard you banged on it. Suddenly you heard sounds of fighting. It was near the center of the city, right where the spacequake was said to be.
Letting curiosity get the better of you, you ran towards the sounds of fighting. Halfway there you suddenly realized that you were an idiot. There was a spacequake warning, sounds of fighting where the spacequake was said to be, and here you were running straight towards it. Not the brightest idea you've ever had. Actually it's quite possibly the worst idea you've ever had.
Even though you knew this you still decided to run the rest of the way there. Whatever the hell was happening there was something that you had to see. Though when you finally arrived it was something you weren't even sure was real. What you saw was about a dozen girls flying around in metal suits and shooting lasers at what appeared to be s magical girl wearing gothic Lolita. You needed to sit down.
Taking a seat on a nearby bench you realized something even weirder. There was no sign of a spacequake. In fact the only sign of damage at all was from the battle going on. The crazy, unbelievable, impossible, awe-inspiring, and any other nouns that fit this situation. It was almost beautiful in fact, the amazing battle going on was something almost out of an anime.
You could've watched for hours, unfortunately you were found out before it came to that. As you watched you were noticed by the girl in gothic Lolita who was currently swinging around a pistol and a rifle. Once she saw you, however, her whole face lit up in delight and she suddenly stopped and walked towards you. As soon as you saw her heading your way you stood up and started to run.
You were interested to be sure but this time you weren't going to let your curiosity get the better of you. It didn't matter much in the end however. As soon as you started to run you were grabbed and spun around by her.
"I finally found you." She said as she gently grabbed the right side of your face and kissed you. As she pulled away you tried to say something, anything, that would make it seem as if that didn't faze you.
"Ah...um...yep!" Nailed it.
She chuckled and smiled at you with a face you didn't expect from a girl carrying around two guns. That face disappeared as she was suddenly attacked by a girl who flew in and attacked her with a sword. She blocked it with a rifle as the grin on her face turned into pure rage. Turning towards the girl she shot her clean in the head with her pistol. Her lifeless body fell to the ground with a thump just moments before your unconscious body did. Embarrassing to say you had passed out from shock.
You woke up later in your living room. You were laying down staring at the ceiling. You had chalked everything up to a simple bad dream and tried to fall back to sleep.
"Falling asleep again huh?
