Annual patterns of photosynthetic rates varied among different species, although higher values were generally recorded in
summer and autumn. A. calamus and C. flabelliformis showed the highest daily photosynthetic rates at 13:00, and showed the
highest average photosynthetic rates in summer, while P. australis and V. zizanioides exhibited the highest daily photosynthetic
rates at 11:00 am, and showed the highest average photosynthetic rates in autumn (Fig. 2)
