CFD predicts the shape of the polytropic efficiency and pressure ratio characteristics well. As for the polytropic efficiency shown in Figs. 12a and 13a, in both compressors, the simulations are in good agreement with the experiments all over the operating range. The simulation predicted lower polytropic efficiency than the experimental data.
