generations. Adults were reared on a diet (brown sugar and milk
powder 1:1, w:w) and water in a dish inside a nylon cage
(1 1 1 m, 20,000 individuals) at 75% relative humidity, 30 C,
and 12:12 h (light:darkness). Larvae were fed with fermented
wheat bran (65% moisture) whichwas used as oviposition substrate
to induce adults to lay eggs [18]. The oviposition substrate was
collected daily at 8:00 AM.
