compared with Control or DPSD (Table 5). There was no substantial treatment effect on ADFI, while feed conversion efficiency (G:F) tended to increase
(P = 0.08). No statistical differences were detected between EFMD and SDPPD in growing performance. Apparent total tract
digestibility (ATTD) of nutrients was not different among treatments, whereas the fecal score tended to be lower in SDPPD,
DPSD and EFMD than Control on d 0–14 (P = 0.09).
Diets supplemented with EFM improved (P < 0.05) IgG content by 0.19 vs. Control, and tended to decrease IL-1 in serum
(P = 0.07) compared with Control (Table 6). The ratio of villus height to crypt depth in duodenum was increased (P < 0.05),
and villus height in duodenum (P = 0.06), jejunum (P = 0.08) and ileum (P = 0.09) tended to increase for piglets fed with EFMD
in contrast with Control and SDPPD (Table 7).
