Calvados – calvados is apple brandy from France (lower Normandy). The production of calvados uses over 200 species of Apple such as Rouge Duret, Rambault, Mettais, Saint Martin, and Frequin for special varieties of flavor. Calvados is base from eau-de-vie and aged in wooden barrel for 2 years. Calvados can be aged longer for smoother taste. The aging process normally takes more than 2 years.
