Trickle-Down Economics. Before it became a catch phrase and something to denigrate for political gain, it was merely called 'Economics'. It was used by President Kennedy to drastically turn the economy around. It was used by Ronald Reagan again with the same results. And, in 1997, it was again used by Bill Clinton to turn around the economy. A major part of the trickle down is to cut taxes on people and on business. Money, in the hands of the people and business gets used much more efficiently than in the hands of government. If one were ignorant of those instances of historic economic recoveries - there is a last opportunity for logic to preside within the following question: If trickledown economics doesnt work - why do we have an expectation that trickle down government works? See, when the kettle is not full of food - we dont need the government dipping in to take their fair share. Let the government miss out on a meal. When times get better and the pot is overflowing - the government can recoup by gleaning the overflow and the small bite from the larger pot. Its okay to run a deficit during bad times and to recover that during good times. Leaving the resources in the hands of people and businesses to grow; profit; hire; expand; save; and produce. It is called Economics. And, its successful. And, anyone who uses the phrase 'trickle down economics' is either ignorant or counting upon the listener to be ignorant.
