Vietnam has solar radiation levels that would make solar applications feasible. With
plentiful and cheap labour available, solar hot water systems can be advantageous because
of the lower production costs. Furthermore, in an economic environment with high energy
and capital inflation, the use of solar hot water systems can be a very viable option if the
government has the correct policies to encourage this application. Encouraging such options
will lead to better utilisation and management of conventional energy sources for development
activities.
