Besides the emergence of new journals that support comparative work, some existing journals also underwent major readjustments in favor of a comparative perspective. The national journal of British public administration, Public Administration: An International Journal, was Europeanized" in 1999 with increased coverage of European public administration in a new European Forum.
The editors aim to make the journal not only European in content and outlook but also international in its impact.
In 2006 the American Society for Public Administration's Public Administration Review added a new international editor.
The International Review of Administrative Sciences: An International Journal of Comparative Public Administration is the official journal of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences, the European Group for Public Administration, and the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration.
It also became the official journal of the Commonwealth Association for Public Administration and Management in 2000.
