The result shows the reimbursement of outpatient and
inpatient expenses is decreased compared with fiscal year 2011-2012. In 2013, the total reimbursement was 59,828 million Baht, 2.4% dropped, compared with previous fiscal year. The numbers of visitors experienced insignificant decline. The largest share of cost reduction was from drugs expenditure. Utilization review found that most of the patients visited university hospitals and other tertiary hospitals. However, only 20% of the patients use inpatient services, in which accounted for 71.06% of total inpatients expenditure. Similarly, it was only 20% of outpatient-services were used that had 80.50% share of outpatients budget. The data indicated that the total number of patients using inpatients and outpatients services, spending more than 1 million baht, was 170 patients(1.40%) and 910 patients (3.56%) respectively.
