Incredibly rich, decadent and large chocolate chip cookie. Very impressive.

2 cups brown sugar
1 lb. butter, softened
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
3 eggs
2 Tbs. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
6 cups flour
2 12 oz. pkgs. chocolate chips
1 8 oz. pkg. pecan pieces, optional preparation
Cream butter and sugars together. Blend in eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla, baking soda and salt. Blend in flour, one cup at a time. Dough will get very stiff. Stir in chocolate chips and pecan pieces.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Measure and shape dough using an ice cream scoop with a lever that scrapes out the dough portion, about 1/4 cup. Place half rounds of dough flat side down about 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet.
Bake 15 - 20 minutes, until golden brown. Let cool 5 - 10 minutes on the cookie sheet then transfer to wire cooling rack and cool completely.
