Several studies have explored the test-retest reproducibility of
SRT (Davis et al., 2008; Hui & Yuen, 2000; Hui et al., 1999), TT
(Perret et al., 2001; Rodríguez-García, López-Miñarro, Yuste and
Sainz de Baranda, 2008) and PSLR (Ayala & Sainz de Baranda,
2010; López-Miñarro et al., 2009, 2008) using only the ICC as
a reproducibility indicator These studies have subsequently re-
ported high reliability, with ICCs ranging from r ¼ 0.91 to r ¼ 0.99.
Similar results have been found in the current study, with ICC
scores of 0.92 for SRT, 0.89 for TT and 0.85 for PSLR. However,
caution should be taken when describing reproducibility obtained
using the ICC as the analysis is a limited measure of reliability due
to: 1) the influence of the magnitude of the between-individuals
variation; 2) it does not indicate possible systematic bias; and 3)
the value presented cannot be clinically interpreted
