during March to December,2010.Nitrogen-free Ashby medium (with agar)
was used for isolationat 104–105 serial dilutions followed by
purification on the same solid media with a repeated plating method
(Schmidt and Belser,1982). Total 15 PGPR were isolated and tested
their N2-fixing ability and alsotested efficiency of phosphate solubilization.
Three bacterial strains with higher N2-fixing ability were
selected for various biochemical tests. The bacterial strains were
maintained on the same agar slants with 1% NaCl.
