Assuming a normal distribution specified with the particle size of crushed feed rice, Monte Carlo simulations with 10,000 runs were performed to investigate the propagation of the mean and standard deviation of MC distribution in a batch. The estimated mean MC values accurately matched the MC values estimated by the Page model. All standard deviation curves had a maximum for intermediate drying times, and the maximum point appeared earlier with increasing temperature. Operating at high temperatures enabled more uniform drying of crushed rice.
