After 6 days, it decreased gradually but remained in thermophilic range (>45 C) up to 61–68 days, except in farm waste compost (C1). It further decreased and reached ambient level between 109 and 115 days of composting in farm waste (C1) and distillery effluent (C3) composts, while in sewage sludge (C2), pressmud (C4) and poultry waste (C5) composts it approached little earlier on 101st day of composting.
