After fish were anesthetize the blood was withdrawn from the
caudal vein with syringes containing a drop of EDTA 10% and used for
blood smears stained with May Grunwald/Giemsa/Wright, hematocrit
percentage, hemoglobin rate and calculated the hematimetric parameters:
mean corpuscular volume (MCV), mean corpuscular hemoglobin
(MCH), and mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (CHCM)
(Ranzani-Paiva et al., 2013).
