• Retain the logbook and any other documents relating to how the event has been managed

• Offer the victim practical support and assistance. It is recommended to maintain any evidence of offers of assistance. i.e.: future medical consultations, making a complaint, etc
• If the victim has been admitted to the hospital, obtain regular updates on his or her condition
• If other guests and/or staff are in shock or require counselling, organise the payment of the expense for suitable services. It is recommended to maintain any evidence of offers of assistance
• Contact the relevant authorities for an update on how enquiries are progressing
• Examine all possibilities for improving security, with particular focus on preventing this type of attack
• If appropriate, set-up a health, safety and working conditions committee
