Fig. 2 shows the response surfaces for the yield (Y2), concentration
of residual sugars (RS) and the response surfaces for the
ethanol productivity (P) as a function of the soybean molasses and
inoculum concentrations.
Upon examining the data in Fig. 2, we determined three
concentrations ranges of soybean molasses that maximized the fermentation.
The optimal soybean molasses range to best yield (Y2)
was between 270 and 420 g/L. With respect to the lowest level of
