technology. In this case information retrieval is initiated by the system rather
than by a user. In this form of information retrieval, the users subscribe to areas
of interest. They then receive updates via e-mail delivery, personalized web
pages and personalized corporate portals or home pages. For instance, Site

Dashboard also offers push capabilities.
