Oxidative degradation of endotoxin was investigated by using oxidation processes, such as ozone, UV, O3/H2O2, UV/H2O2.
•
Remarkably enhanced oxidative degradations were demonstrated after O3/H2O2 & UV/H2O2 treatments.
•
The oxidative degradation was consistent with the loss of inflammation activity (Toxic activity by TNF-α production analysis).
•
OH radical played an only role for oxidative degradation.
•
O3/H2O2 & UV/H2O2 easily inactivate E. coli-released endotoxin as well as E. coli.
