Management Trainee Program Agreement
This Management Trainee Program Agreement (the “Agreement”) is made between Name of the company/hotel/resort (the “Company”) and Trainee’s Name (the “Trainee”).
Whereas:
1. The Company has established the management trainee program which would provide the appropriate training in relation to the educational background of the Trainee (the “Program”).
2. The Trainee confirmed that she (i) possesses the academic background in the field related to the Program and (ii) would like to participate in the Program only to gain working experience, not to seek any monetary payment or any other payment for such participation.
3. The Company agrees to accept the Trainee to participate in the Program in the Commercial & Revenue Management Department at Centara Hotels & Resorts and the Trainee agrees to participate in the Program under the terms and conditions set forth hereinafter.
1. General
1.1 This Agreement must be signed by the Trainee and received by the Company prior to the commencement of the Program.
1.2 Non-compliance of any of the provisions herein may result in immediate termination of the Trainee’s participation in the Program.
1.3 No compensation can be claimed from The Company in any case.
1.4 All rights in this Agreement including any other privileges are strictly limited to the Trainee only.
1.5 The Program shall commence from ____________ to ___________.
2. Preparation
2.1 The Trainee is responsible for all travel arrangements, at her own expense, which have to be made prior to her departure including but not limited to passport, visa, airline ticket and reconfirmation. A valid passport and an educational visa (Visa ED - Education) for a minimum of 6 months are required.
2.2 The Trainee must provide her curriculum vitae and a recent photograph together with the signed copy of this Agreement to the Company.
2.3 The Trainee shall be responsible to arrange, at her own cost, full insurance coverage prior to her departure for following cases:
- accident, sickness, death
- emergency repatriation
- theft of personal belongings
The Company shall not be responsible for the Trainee’s health and safety in relation to, and during the period of, the Program.
3. Professional Study
3.1 The Company will give the Trainee the opportunity to work in the Department of Name of the Hotel/Resort and to actively work in various parts of this department.
3.2 Wherever possible, an expatriate staff of Name of the Hotel/Resort will be available for questions, problem solving and additional information to the Trainee.
3.3 The Trainee is encouraged to ask questions and take notes during her visits in the Company: the success of her training will mainly depend on her personal interest and initiative.
3.4 The Trainee may take copies of operational documents or materials with the approval of the Department Head only.
4. Other Privileges
4.1 Free meals are provided at the staff canteen during the training period only. The Trainee will also be entitled for privileges as follows:
- Dining (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) in the Main Restaurant with an officer check entitlement equivalent to the Company’s employees of Level 3 at the property. A la carte order and meals in other restaurants are subject to the Trainee’s own expenses with 25% discount.
- Daily breakfast from the buffet before reporting for duty.
- Lunch and Dinner from any buffet line 30 minutes before it is cleared.
4.2 Alcoholic beverages cannot be consumed in the hotel.
4.3 The Trainee is entitled to have free laundry of 60 pieces per month during the training period.
4.4 The Trainee will receive Baht 10,000 per month allowance subject to personal income tax or any other applicable taxes.
4.5 The Trainee will be responsible to pay the applicable fees to their home institute. The amount of the fees and payment conditions is solely a matter between the student and her institute.
4.6 The Company will be responsible for the expenses of the extension of Visa within Thailand, and during the period of the Program, only. If the Trainee is required to travel out of the country for renewal, she must be responsible for every expense incurred.
5. Behavior
5.1 The Trainee is to strictly follow all rules and regulations issued from time to time by the management of The Company.
5.2 The Trainee is to be at all times polite and courteous to all staff, regardless of their positions.
5.3 The Trainee is to be strictly refraining from criticizing or blaming staff of the Company.
5.4 The Trainee should under no circumstances shout at the staff or give orders in an un-respectful manner.
5.5 The Trainee must not make any negative comments or critics about Name of the Hotel/Resort to anyone; she is welcome to give his or her personal opinion to any of expatriate management staff who are able to explain things in a comprehensible way.
5.6 The Trainee is to be well-behaved and well-dressed at all times within The Company premises. The uniform is prepared by the Trainee at her own expense.
- Men: White shirt with long sleeves, black trousers and black suit.
- Ladies Black skirt, white blouse and black jacket / suit, no fancy color schemes, style or jewelry.
6. Restrictions
6.1 The Trainee is not allowed to take any visitors inside The Company premises without the General Manager’s (or superiors) approval.
6.2 The possession or consumption of drugs of any kind will result in immediate repatriation at The Trainee’s expenses; Name of the Hotel/Resort will not give any kind of assistance to The Trainee jailed for drug possession or drug use.
7. Others
7.1 Thailand is one of the most interesting and fascinating countries of Asia; The Trainee is strongly recommended to document herself thoroughly and read adequate material prior to his or her trip in order to take full advantage of her time spent in the country.
7.2 Thai people are very friendly and tolerant, but very sensitive as well; The Trainee is to respect local traditions and patterns of behavior.
7.3 Name of the Hotel/Resort will endeavor that the Program is the most profitable and memorable experience for the Trainee; however, Name of the Hotel/Resort expects perfect behavior, full cooperation and understanding of the operational priorities from the Trainee. Strict compliance with all points listed in this Agreement is essential.
7.4 The Trainee is required to inform the Human Resources Department at least 7 working days prior to traveling out of the country during the Program.
In witness whereof, the parties have agreed to the above terms and conditions and further sign their names below to execute this Agreement.
