Uploaded on Jan 20, 2012·In this binaural beat, I have used brainwave frequencies that have been thought to cause visual and auditory hallucinations. Nearing the end of the video, I use gamma waves, which have been studied and are believed to cause sensory mix-up (such as seeing sounds and hearing colors). I have never used gamma waves before, so I don't know how this one will work out. The beginning frequencies I have used before, although I've never had open eye visual hallucinations (even though some people claim to have them), I have had closed eye hallucinations. Mainly, I saw different colored lights flashing.
Info: Don't know what binaural beats are? In very simple terms, they are sounds, that when are set to a certain frequency, can effect the brain in different ways. The frequencies are said to release endorphins, or give you confidence, or make you alert, or sleepy, or give you a surreal feeling of reality, and a myriad of other things. They aren't dangerous in any way, unless, of course, you are sensitive to these kind of things.
How to use binaural beats:
- Wear headphones. You need these so that the sounds can pulse from ear to ear. Also, the cheaper they are, the cheaper the quality of the sound, and thus, worse the effect.
- Relax. Even lay down if you are able to.
- Close your eyes, if you want.
- Clear your mind and focus on the sounds.
Note: Just like hypnosis, these don't work on everyone. They may or may not work on you. Though, I would love to hear your experiences. Please comment and tell me how they worked out for you. Also, use at your own risk.
