Implications for research
Studies with larger number of participants and strong methodological
design are required to provide clear, consistent and precise
conclusions regarding oxygen-supplemented exercise training.
These studies should ensure that both participants and the
providers of the intervention are blinded and should include a
placebo arm. Further studies are required to establish which types
of training programs and what concentration of oxygen are efficacious.
