A stomach poison insecticide is active if it enters through insect digestion organ or alimentary canal. Therefore, the insecticide contaminated crop must be eaten in enough amount to kill the insect (Matsumura, 1985; Djojosumarto, 2008). The reduction in the susceptibility of larvae to stomach poison insecticide could be because of an increase in the resistance of gut wall or rapid elimination of toxicant from the insect alimentary canal (Onstad, 2008; Kranthi, 2005).
