A second possibility may be that value takes longer to develop than the other qualities. It may be that a longer intervention period is needed to observe significant results in terms of expansion of value. A third possibility is that measures of value may be less sensitive to change. As stated previously, some students had dichotomous views of interest and had a hard time recognizing an increase in interest. Overall, the construct of interest and value is more abstract and harder to ref lect on than other constructs, such as the number of times they talked with someone about the concepts. Future research needs to examine these possibilities.
