I know TV Maggie and comic Maggie have some jarring similarities but also some jarring differences. In my opinion, I see TV Maggie as someone way stronger.
However, lately Maggie has been acting rather strange. It could either be the writing or it could be that she's bottling up her feelings. She didn't have time to properly mourn her father, she didn't have time to properly mourn her sister (even worst that she doesn't KNOW what happened to her sister), and most recently Maggie is shown to completely have lost faith. In "Four Walls and a Roof" she didn't consider the church a holy place but rather just a building.
Could the writing for her this season mean that she's become detached from feelings (not intentionally) and it all comes to explode after if
It's good to note that when a person is distraught or depressed they don't really take into consideration the feelings of others. So even though it will be selfish of her to attempt to end her life when so many people love her, it's kind of a necessity to her overall arc. She's strong, but she's not THAT strong. It'll overwhelm her.
That's essentially how it happened in the comic. Maggie lost her entire family and couldn't take it. So in the show, perhaps it'll be the same.
