The initial S. Typhimurium DT 104 population inoculated on iceberg lettuce, was reduced by 5.07 log CFU/g for the 15-15 min treatment and 5.15 log CFU/g for the 30 min treatment (Table 2). In the case of E. coli O157:H7 inoculated iceberg lettuce, reductions of only 3.94 log CFU/g and 4.07 log CFU/g were achieved when treated for 15-15 min and 30 min respectively (Table 2).
