I want to let you know that Regions is required to honor any pre-authorized debits that are presented for payment. We can’t prevent checks or pre-authorized drafts from posting to the account, even if this may cause the account to become overdrawn.
If a charge is presented while we are in the process of closing the account, the item will cause the account to reopen. If this happens, it will be necessary to submit an additional closing request once the item has cleared the account. The request to stop all incoming or outgoing transactions should be handled through any merchants presenting the items to your account.
