Criminal law is a law that determines which actions are crimes and prescribes punishments for such crime. Because of the criminal punishments, which are Death penalty, Imprisonment , Confinement, Fine and Forfeiture of Property, criminal law is a law affecting fundamental rights of people, i.e.,their lives, bodies, freedom and properties. Thus, crimes have to be explicitly specified as to the natures in order to allow people to know which actions are crimes and what are the punishments for those who commit such crimes.
