live/dead staining enabled us to evaluate and compare the percentage of viable cells in the various culture conditions of B.cereus ATCC 14579 at the stationary phase. at 37 ํC aerobic and fermentative cultures show a similar (p>0.999) high rate of viability of around 98% (fig. 7A and B ). at 15 ํC aerobic and anaerobic respiratory cultures presented a similar (p>0.999) rate of viability of 73% (fig. 7 ํC and E). which significantly decreased (p>0.001) to 50% in fermentation condition (fig.7D). filaments formed in fermentation at 15 ํC contained viable or dead cell, or a mixture of each (fig.7D).
