PostScript fonts traditionally comprise an outline file for each instance along with a ‘suitcase’ of bitmaps for the set, although Mac OS X can recognize the outline files, and render them on screen and in” print without the bitmaps present. Double-clicking a compatible font
file shows a visual preview of the font. An option to install it appears if the font is not already installed.
