The main purpose of the present study was to determine the antioxidant
activity exhibited by 12 genotypes of waxy corn at
two maturation stages through the use of three commonly used
spectrophotometric methods, namely the 2,2-diphenyl-1-
picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging ability, ferric ionreducing
antioxidant power (FRAP), and Trolox equivalent
antioxidant capacity (TEAC).
