Located at Ban Dan Phatthana, Tambon Dan, this border market is a trade center at the border checkpoint between Thailand and Cambodia. The crossing is the largest in Surin and can be crossed with the most ease. The nearest Cambodian town is O’Smach.
The market is located in Huai Thap Than – Huai Samran Wildlife Sanctuary which was officially established at the end of 1995. The market has long played a significant role in border trade between Thailand and Cambodia before it was finally given the official border checkpoint status. Products available include grocery items, tools, wooden furniture, handicrafts, mats and baskets.
Situated in Mu 1 and 14, Ban Dan Phattana, Tambon Dan, the market is active from 8.00 am-4.00pm. The market is 69 kilometers from Surin town and 11 kilometers from Amphoe Kap Choeng, via Surin-Chong Chom Road.
