I agree with the idea that university students should participate in at least one activity per semester because it helps them to be more socially active and get higher grades.
I believe that education is not only in the classroom but it is all around us in everything that we do whether we pay attention to it or not.
This means that when students participate in activities outside of the classroom and join organizations they have the chance to interact with other students which could give them the opportunity to exchange in ideas and form bigger social circles.
With regards to getting higher grades it is believed that when humans participate in exercise it allows the brain to get more oxygen which helps improve concentration and also memory as well as improving the students’ attention span in the classroom because the students will not have any excess energy after participating in sporting events.
If universities make it mandatory for students to participate in after class activities, it means that the students will have less time for doing homework which means that universities should reduce the homework work load. Studies have also shown that when students participate in after school activities, instead of doing homework, it gives their brains time to rest which can make them more prepared for the next studying day.
Therefore, I agree with the idea to make it mandatory for students to participate in after school activities, join organizations and participate in sports because it allows for students to rest their brains and be prepared for the next studying day.
