In the present study, M. rosenbergii juvenile fed with diets containing 1.0, 3.0 or 6.0 g kg1 BPE showed significantly increase in PWG, PLG and FEs compared to prawn fed with the control diet from 60 to 120 days which was dependent on the BPE dosages tested, presumably due to the result from an
increased protein turnover from prawns by utilizing the carbohydrate source in banana peels (50.17 ± 0.15%) to economize on the dietary protein.
