Bangkok Bombing: Do not listen to China -- Check the phone records
China is starting to push the narrative that this might be a Uigher attack on Chinese tourists. China cannot breathe without lying, and they have a war on with the Uighers now. It could be anyone. It could be Uighers but I and my sources highly doubt this until there is evidence.
This does not fit a pattern of Uigher attacks, and it does not pass the scratch test that this attack was against Chinese specifically. If the attack were against Chinese tourists, there are plenty of easier targets with more return that are in easier places to attack. Also if the attacks were against Chinese, there would not be hoax devices away from Chinese (if the hoaxes are related).
One source close to Thai intelligence told me repeatedly that he believes this came from the South. Other sources, equally informed, point to Thaksin's gang. None of them know. I do not know. If any of us knew who did it, someone would be in handcuffs by now.
If Chinese intelligence has something, they should cough it up to Thai intelligence. Yet the Chinese government is actively covering up events at Tianjin. They cannot be trusted. They always lie.
The phone companies should scan their records for all the phones that were in that area, and in particular for any phones that suddenly shut off when the explosion occurred. (It could have been cell phone activated.)
Phone companies should scan their records for all phones that moved along the route of the man in yellow who dropped the pack. He was picked up on multiple cameras which have time stamps. CCTV can be compared to phone movements in company records.
It is possible that a company like Facebook, Twitter, Line, Instagram, or Apple has data about the movements. The suspect appears to be using a phone.
Nobody should be ruled out, but there are groups who are far more likely than Uighers. In any case, Chinese authorities never stop with their wild lies.
