Selecting and Performing Interventions
Because only four nurses developed an interven- tion plan based on the guideline, interventions were not discussed in detail during the interviews. Some nurses mentioned that they did develop an interven- tion plan, but that it was structured in accordance with the format used within their organization. These intervention plans were not part of the data that were collected for the pilot study. The quantitative data showed that the nurses were positive about the interventions in the guideline and the proposed procedure of selecting appropriate inter- ventions (3.38–3.53), although they had not all had the opportunity to actually develop an intervention plan. The potential of the guideline to support in the actual performance of the interventions was rated only slightly less at 3.12.
