TARGETED RISK ASSESSMENT – ONSITE CHECKLIST
Students are required to:
participate in a “practical on-site” hazard identification and risk assessment using the tools and template documents provided. The checklist below lists key issues and potential hazards that students will need to consider;
demonstrate practical participation and professional understanding of the technical requirements of risk assessment;
present documentation that has been completed fully and correctly;
provide “personal” explanation of hazards identified, both from their personal perspective and also in relation to the overall group discussion and decisions;
interact with your fellow students in groups throughout the entire process of this assessment;
gather and share information hazards information, complete templates, record onsite hazards, discuss outcomes and decide on best options for elimination and control of the walking tour risks.
Your trainer will observe and measure your interactions and performance during the “site inspections” to determine your professionalism.
