Meeting at the Lake Wanaka Centre, Chair, Hetty Van Hale and Director, Philip Tremewan reaffirmed the festival’s commitment to bringing the best of the arts, including world premieres, to the region from both within New Zealand and around the world. They outlined plans for an off-year programme in 2014 including one-off performances and a ‘festival of ideas’ based on the main programme’s highly popular Aspiring Conversations sessions.
Ms Van Hale said in her Chair’s report that the fifth biennial festival continued to build on its reputation as the ‘best little arts festival in New Zealand’.
