The increase in market share in Finland and Sweden is only marginal. In the rest of countries there are two to four main competitors (mainly Fiat, Hyundai, Ford and Volkswagen). In fact, GM will become the leader brand only in three counties: (i) Netherlands, where there are four competitors with a market share of more than 10%10, (ii) Norway, where there are two competitors with a market share of more than 15%11, and (iii) Portugal, with three competitors with a market share of more than 13%12. No dominance will be created as a result of the operation, since the competitors active in the market would be able to jeopardise any potential anti-competitive outcome.
