Thus, thermal pretreatment could be considered as an effective method to promote the recycling of KW basing on the above advantages analyzed. From the viewpoint of waste-to-energy, waste cooking oil is one of
the attractive and available recycled feedstocks [11], and the conversion of this huge amount of waste oil into the fuel not only could eliminate the environmental and sanitary impacts caused by the
harmful disposal [13], but can significantly reduce the total manufacturing cost due to lower price compared with virgin
vegetable oils [14]. In addition, basing on previous work about physical and chemical properties and various utilization methods of solid phase and liquid phase ofKW with thermal pretreatment, it is necessary to conduct the research on the influence of thermal
pretreatment on the reuse of waste oil as a resource, thus a complete
overview of the effects of thermal pretreatment on subsequent
utilization of KW could be achieved.
