5. Conclusion
FFAs released from milk fat by hydrolysis activates PPARγ, PPARδ and PPARα and are found to be a potent inducer of ANGPTL4 gene expression in human intestinal colon cells. MCFAs seem to be very important for the up-regulating effect of milk on the ANGPTL4 gene, but the diverse composition of FA in milk showed higher effect than a single FFA. No effect of homogenisation of pasteurised milk on up-regulation of ANGPTL 4 was noted.
