Stomata conductance (gs) is known to be the main water regulation
mechanism in plants (Tardieu and Simonneau, 1998) and as
such, gs values were in good agreement with ETq. At all dates, as
compared with all other treatment cultivar combinations, Shiraz
control had the highest gs (271e338 mmol H2O m2 s
1
) while
Shiraz 50% had the lowest gs (136e194 mmol H2O m2 s
1
) and the
treatments were significantly different (p < 0.05) throughout the
experiment
